Subject: Implementation of Strong Passwords for Verizon Conferencing Services

Dear Verizon Conferencing Customer:

To assist you in securing your Verizon Conferencing services and preventing unauthorized access to your conferences, Verizon Conferencing Support will be enforcing strong passwords for access to the Manage My Meetings conferencing portal on December 12, 2014. While your Manage My Meetings account may already comply with this strong password requirement, it will now be enforced for all conferencing users. The strong password requirements will apply to your Manage My Meetings account and will flow through to your access to the Advanced and Customized Net Conferencing services. In addition strong passwords will be required for the Advanced and Customized Net Conference meetings.

Effective December 12, 2014 you will be required to change your Manage My Meetings password to comply with the new password requirements listed below. You also will be prompted to change your Manage My Meetings password every 90 days and to reschedule your existing recurring net conferencing meetings with strong meeting passwords that comply with the meeting password requirements listed below. If you require a shorter than 90-day password renewal duration, please contact your Verizon Account Manager.

Passwords satisfying the minimum Strong Password guidelines are:

  • Comprised of mixed case letters (upper-case and lower-case).
  • A minimum of 8 characters
  • Comprised of both letters and numbers
  • Written to contain one special character from the set $ - . ! * ,

Your compliance with this strong password requirement is mandatory for your new and existing recurring meetings and should be completed before December 31, 2014
