Continuous Presence, Transcoding, and IP Conferencing Now Available to e-Scheduling Customers
Videoconferences that involve sites with different speed and protocol
capabilities may now be scheduled in the e-Scheduling system by selecting
the "Enhanced Quality" option. This option will select a speed and protocol
that matches the majority of the sites in the conference and then apply
transcoding automatically to the other sites.
Conferences involving sites that connect via the Internet Protocol (IP),
otherwise known as H.323 sites, may now also be included in conferences that
are scheduled via e-Scheduling. These sites may also be freely mixed with
non-IP based sites. Transcoding will allow them to participate seamlessly
in the same conference.
Additionally, more options for Continuous Presence have been added to
e-Scheduling. Prior to this release, users were limited to selecting
four-square continuous Presence. This release adds two-square (both side by
side and top and bottom placement), five-plus-one square, and nine-square to
the possible user choices.
