Upgrade for Verizon Net Conference Services on the Cisco WebEx Platform

Through our collaboration with Cisco, Verizon Conferencing Support will be enriching our services by integrating enhanced features with our Net Conferencing service portfolio and conferencing tools in March 2014.

As Net Conferencing customer on the Cisco WebEx platform, you will soon see changes to your site. The current upgrade schedule is organized alphabetically, based upon your WebEx site url.

  • March 21st - Site urls beginning with Numbers and site urls beginning with A - O
  • March 28th - Shared sites for Instant and Advanced Net Conference (mman, van, mymeetings, mymeetingsft, mymeetingsssl, mmancusa, mminsusa,) and site urls beginning with P-Z

The enhancements to the Centers are summarized below and will depend on the type of net conferencing services to which you currently subscribe:

    • Added support for Citrix XenDesktop 5.0 and 5.5 and XenApp 6.5
    • Productivity Tools support for Lotus Notes, Microsoft Lync, Outlook 2012, multiple Microsoft Exchange Inboxes for Outlook 2010
    • Encryption - discontinued PKI, stronger end to end encryption
    • Standardized in meeting notifications
